Everyday Champion, Madison V., stole the spotlight at the USA Gymnastics New York State Championships in Medford, NY.  She shined brighter than her five medals in this gorgeous 3/4 sleeve girl's GK leotard.  The audience couldn't help but notice how comfortable and confident she looked as she walked onto the floor to perform her routine.  The five medals she received proved the judges noticed, too!  She tells us, "I am wearing my GK Warm-up Suit over my GK Competition Leotard proudly as I have just finished 1st place All-Around at the USAIGC State Championships, bronze level age 7." Congratulations, Madison! It's not uncommon to be inspired by the 2012 Olympic Champion, Gabrielle Douglas.  Just some of her exceptional achievements include being the first American gymnasts in history to win the Olympic All-Around and Team Gold in 2012, Subway Sportswoman of the Year, Nickelodeon's 2014 Kids' Choice Sports Award for Best Female Athlete, and the YoungStars Award at the 2013 BET Awards.  With a long list of accomplishments, it is no wonder why she has inspired thousands of athletes worldwide; however, there is one young gymnast who has given this Olympic Champion the inspiration to keep pressing forward.

Amarissa Mauricio, a 13-year-old aspiring gymnast, was passionately pursuing her dream to become like Gabby Douglas until she was diagnosed with Lupus, an incurable autoimmune disease that attacks vital organs. The doctors told her she would no longer be able to continue participating in gymnastics. The devastation was almost unbearable as she saw her dreams fade away, and her wish to meet Gabby Douglas grow dim.

News of Amarissa's situation reached Gabby and she immediately jumped into action to help.  Before she knew it, she was headed out to Iowa State to meet Amarissa and spend some time in the gym with her. The day consisted of these athletes working on different balance beam skills, trying on Gabby's gymnastics grips from the 2012 Olympics and even witnessing first hand some of Gabby's Olympic floor routine. The highlight of the day came when Gabrielle Douglas put one of her Olympic Gold medals on Amarissa and had her stand on top of a block to reenact the podium award ceremony. Later that day, Gabby gave this young athlete two of her signature leotards as a reminder to never give up. These sporty sisters from Flip City Gymnastics in Cottonwood, AZ are a spectacular sight in their GK gymnastics apparel!  They competed in the Manhattan Classic earlier this season and both girls received awards for their floor routines!  They train, compete, and keep warm in nothing but the best: GK gymnastics wear!  Their proud mom tells us, "they love gymnastics and GK! It is always their workout and competitive leotard brand of choice, hands down!"

Family and friends of all ages came to experience the Annual Gymnastics Show at Club Equilibrix in Quebec, Canada!  Club Equilibrix dedicated their past season to Breast Cancer Awareness. GK Catalog Cover model, Simone Biles, once again showed the crowds her natural talent for gymnastics as she took home the Sr. All-Around title at the 2014 U.S. Secret Classic in Chicago, IL.  With the confidence, flawless fit and quality of a GK competitive leotard, she stuck almost every tumbling pass, nailed a high-flying Amanar on the vault and gracefully executed her Elite skills on the balance beam.  Her ability to successfully accomplish the technically advanced skills was nothing less than extraordinary, and showcased a passion for gymnastics that reached well beyond her years. 

Needing only a 54.000 to compete in the 2014 P&G Championships, Biles easily surpassed that with an All-Around score of 61.700. Not only did she receive the All-Around title, but she was the Gold Medalist for the vault with a 15.200, Gold Medalist for her floor routine with a 15.800 and tied with GK catalog model, Kyla Ross, for the balance beam gold medal at a score of 15.250.

Alexandra Raisman is the most decorated American gymnast from the 2012 Olympic Games, where she won three medals. Aly took home the gold medal for her Floor Exercise routine and for her contributions toward the Team USA victory. She also received the bronze medal for her Balance Beam routine.
