Twelve year old, Amy M. and eight year old Gabby L. of Phoenix, AZ North Valley Gymnastics are ecstatic about qualifying for this year's JumpStart National Team. This allows them to be able to train with the USA Olympic coaches at training 
camp at Bela Karolyi's Ranch which is specific to trampoline training. Amy and Gabby currently train three days a week with their coach Chelsea Burns and were recently featured in USA Gymnastics magazine with the others from the National Team, as well as Raising Arizona Kids Magazine. Their coach has said how incredible these girls are and adds, "They are such dedicated, hard working athletes. Both are very focused and I think it's great that they are being recognized among the top trampolinists/tumblers for their age groups in the country." Training camp sessions are currently in progress.
USA Gymnastics qualifies 21 trampolinists/tumblers to make the Jumpstart National each year based on a series of strength, flexibility, fitness, speed, and skills testing. Gabby comments, "It was a lot of hard work but also a lot of fun." The girls attended the JumpStart National Testing in Huntsville, TX this past winter. "It was great meeting and working with the national coaching staff. It was also fun to meet other athletes who love trampoline/tumbling as much as I do," adds Amy.
