GK is proud to have provided the GK Elegance Award at the 2013 Mexican Open with a one-of-a-kind $10,000 gymnastics leotard. This annual international competition was held in Acapulco, Mexico November 28-30, 2013. The competition was dedicated to giving young gymnasts international experience. Thirteen countries attended including Russia, China, United States, Japan, Romania, Italy, Uzbekistan, Colombia, Brazil, Ukraine, Canada, Spain and of course the host country, Me
xico. Special guests included gymnastics legends, Nadia Comaneci and three-time Olympian Svetlana Boguinskaia. Our GK booth was set up to offer a variety of styles new to the gymnastics industry. It is events such as this that we are honored to be a part of and to share our passion for the sport of gymnastics.
Our Elegance Award was presented to Ukrainian gymnast, shown on the left, Angelina Kysla who finished fifth in the all-around competition. Her beautiful artistic performance awarded her this very special prize.
The prize was a couture version of our Glamour SWAROVSKI Leotard 1007. This is a gorgeous V back long sleeve gymnastics leotard featured in Gold Leaf and Antique Gold Mystique fabrics with a modified high cut leg. This modern leotard features a Black mesh inset with Gold Mystique underlay. The body and sleeves are adorned with over 10,000 Gold Brilliance, Metallic Gold, and Brilliance SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS.
22-year-old Kysla showed off this gorgeous leotard in a photo-shoot with brilliant and elegant poses on the beach in Acapulco. She was a member of the Ukrainian team of 2011 and 2013 World Championships, Her coach, Inna Korobchinskaya is so proud of Kysla and they are both so excited about this one-of-a-kind reward. They wish to "thank the GK company for such a unique prize!"
