GK is proud to sponsor the 4th Annual Kalon Ludvigson Invitational in Salt Lake City, UT this weekend, in support of Kalon Ludvigson, one of our GK Gymnastics catalog models, and the most decorated Trampoline and Tumbling athlete in the world. The meet will incorporate all levels of competition in Trampoline, Tumbling and Double Mini Trampoline.
Kalon began his gymnastics career at the age of 8, and in just 10 years time, earned his first US National Championship title in Trampoline and Tumbling in 2006. He defended this title for the next seven years, while also earning 20 World Cup and World Championship medals and setting 2 world records. Then, in August 2013 after winning his final US National Championship, a neck injury during training left him paralyzed below his chest. Since his accident, Kalon's treatments and strength-training has kept him out of the public eye... until now.
This year's Kalon Ludvigson Invitational is going to be absolutely amazing! It will be Kalon's first public appearance since his accident, and his friends, fans and teammates are rallying to support him at this special gymnastics meet. Because of Kalon's superior standing in the gymnastics industry, we're going to see a lot of 2012 World Champion Team members and finalists, as well as World Age Group Champions and former Olympians, many of them competing at the meet. All of these gymnasts are eager to support Kalon, who by the way, was just nominated as the TNT Representative for the USA Gymnastics 
Athletes Council.
As part of a fundraiser for Kalon's medical costs, fans purchased Keep Calm and Pray for Kalon t-shirts, that they will wear during the final events on Saturday. This supportive gesture should be an amazing and emotional gift of inspiration for Kalon!
If you'd like to help offset the costs of Kalon's medical bills, contributions are being collected through The Kalon Ludvigson Fund.
So what part does GK play in this event? All of the gymnasts at the Kalon Ludvigson Invitational will wear a black and white warm-up jacket and warm-up pant from GK. The female athletes will look polished and comfortable in a GK Women's Woven Warm-Up Jacket with Piping L1043 and a Women's Woven Black Pant L1046. The Male gymnasts will wear Men's Woven Warm-Up Jacket with Piping L1042 and Men's Gymnastics Warm-Up Pants L1045. Both men's and women's warm-up jackets are White Polyester with Black style lines under the arms and on the shoulders and our classic GK logo on both the back and the right chest. The Kalon Ludvigson Invitational logo is embroidered on the left. Paired with the relaxed fit pant, this gymnastics warm-up combo will look terrific on the men and women competing in trampoline and tumbling on Saturday.
