Excitement mounts in Tampa, FL as the sunshine state prepares for the 2014 YMCA National Gymnastics Championship and Invitational this July! Event planners are expecting over 2,000 gymnasts from across the nation to travel to Tampa for this prestigious event. YMCA level 1-10 gymnasts who have received a high All-Around score at a USA Gymnastics sanctioned meet will compete for the Gold on the bars, beam, vault and floor. The event consists of a three-day competition with an Olympic-style Opening Ceremony, where Megan Clementi, Miss Florida 2010, will be the keynote speaker. This competition has been officially declared an Olympic Day event, marking it a celebration for youth around the world to observe the Olympic values of Fair Play, Perseverance, Respect and Sportsmanship.
