The 2014 YMCA National Championships proved to be an incredible success as over 2,000 YMCA gymnasts from across the country came to Tampa, FL for this four-day event. Special guests including Bob Buckhorn, the mayor of Tampa, and Megan Clementi, Miss Florida USA 2010, joined the thousands of athletes and their families to celebrate at the Olympic style opening ceremony on July 2, 2014 at the Raymond James Stadium.
Wendy Martin, GK's Vice President of Gymnastics Sales tells us, "The event was a huge success and everything was coordinated very well. The Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA and Sarasota Family YMCA were very hospitable towards GK and did an excellent job at making us feel right at home! We are looking forward to seeing everyone again at next year's event!"
