Even though she competed for the United States in the 2012 Olympic Games, Gabby Douglas' GK Leotard Collection has caught the eye of gymnasts across the globe!  The Vakıfbank Gymnastic Team from İstanbul, Turkey, competed in the Turkey Gym Federation 2013 Turkey Final Exam of Ladies Meet at İZMİR-TURKEY in fierce red leotards from the Gabrielle Douglas Spring Collection.  The 9 and 10-year-old gymnasts followed Gabby's lead and were named champions of their age group.  In the photo below, Defne, Cemre, Liala, İpek and Dilay are celebrating their victory.  Way to go, girls!

We were delighted to host our 4th Annual Fashion Show at the P&G National Championships and Congress in Hartford, CT last weekend. The models for this year's fashion show were selected from gyms in the local area. They walked the runway in GK gymnastics styles including competition leotards, workout tanks, and Under Armour® styles.

At the fashion show, we debuted our Purple Petals Design, the winning Leo from the "Color Your Leo" contest hosted by USA Gymnastics. We had such a great time at this year's P&G National Championships, Congress and trade show events in Hartford, CT. Many aspiring athletes hurried to our booth at the Aly Raisman and Gabby Douglas autograph sessions where they got to meet these Olympic Gold Medalists.

Aly and Gabby were happy to hang out at our booth at Congress meeting young gymnasts and signing postcard photos. The line grew quickly as you can see to the left. The GK booth was beautifully displayed with a variety of gymnastics leotards available for purchase. She started gymnastics in the winter of 2012 as a preschooler learning to do forward rolls. She has developed even more gymnastics skills and is now the new level 3 TAG at Phillips 66 Gymnastics Club in Bartlesville, OK.

Nevaeh loves gymnastics and Gabby Douglas. "When she gets frustrated," her mother shares with us, "I will hear her saying 'never give up, Gabby says never give up, so I will never give up.' I love that she has such a strong Christian gymnast role model. She was so excited to win the Gabby prize pack, she did not know until she opened the bag. The GK Team was elated to be spending quality time with 2012 All-Around Champion, Gabby Douglas and 2012 Olympic Gold Medalist, Aly Raisman at the P&G National Championships in mid August. These inspiring athletes hung out at our booth to meet their fans and sign autographs. It was nice to catch up with them and meet aspiring gymnasts passionate about the sport of gymnastics.

Kyla Ross from Gym-Max of Aliso Viejo, California was a shining star at the 2013 P&G National Championships a few weeks ago. She held a gold medal in the uneven bars and again on the balance beam, a silver in the all-around and placed 7th in the floor exercise. Amelia Hundley earned her placement on the 2014 Junior National Team. She was named the Junior National Bar Champion and also placed 3rd in the All-Around.
